Book 2 in the Against All Odds series: Unprecedented
Maybe breaking up would save them both.
Desperate to make up to her family for her past absence, Gia Carter agrees to take over a partially finished architecture job from her grieving cousin, which means more time spent in New Orleans. But when the threats from environmental activists turn violent, she’s assigned a bodyguard who is with her more than she’s been with Xander in the last six months. Maybe it would just be easier to be with someone who wasn’t long-distance?
Stuck in Denver trying to clear his name through a settlement, Xander Reinerman can feel the distance creeping into his relationship with Gia. She’s the one he wants to spend forever with, but he’s just not good enough—yet. When anonymous letters appear and local gang members assault him, he questions whether they will ever get their chance at forever after all.
Life and love are on the line. Can Gia and Xander survive when everything is threatening to end them?
**The books in Against All Odds series are meant to be read sequentially.**
C.D. Gill has done it again. I enjoyed reading Unprecedented, a suspenseful romantic story involving family dynamics and secrets, threats, a long distance relationship between Gia and Xander, and more. I was engrossed in the story straight from the start.
A very well written story with full characters with enough twists and turns to give you whiplash. I love how the storytelling is paced and how it all unfolds. A really good read I have not hesitation in recommending you will enjoy.
The continuation of this series continues to give the reader a really suspenseful and romantic book to read. It turned out to be a page-turner and the relationship between Gia and Xander was really interesting to watch develop—despite the distance between them. It was a really good book to read and I would definitely recommend it
