Just past a four-way stop in a small town in Virginia is a camping/ RV spot known as Natural Chimneys that has now become a gathering place for the community. Hiking, outdoor gatherings, camping, concerts, and more are accommodated at this beautiful space surrounding the limestone stacks.
There are several cave-like openings that lead into dark crevices that deserve further exploration when I’m wearing tennis shoes instead of sandals. You can hike up in between those chimneys to get a 120-foot view from the top. If you’re in the area, zoom past those cows and horses and enjoy some scenery and fresh air. It’s a beautiful place.
